On Thursday 11th July we were delighted to present a cheque for £1000 to the Little and Often support group, funded by the umbrella charity R Charity, who meet monthly at Broadgreen Hospital. The group supports patients who are surviving cancer and have undergone esophageal and gastric surgery, and is named aptly due to the change in dietary requirements.
Some of the money donated will be used to take patients out for a meal, something which many of us take for granted, but can be daunting following these surgeries when only smaller portions can be eaten.
