On Monday 17th June we were proud to present a cheque for £1000 to the dietitians at Cheltenham General Hospital for its CT Scanner Appeal - a joint initiative with Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals.
With their existing scanner provision at full capacity, they are fundraising to purchase new scanners for the almost 80,000 people each year who require a scan or mobile x-ray.
New scanners will mean:
- The earliest possible diagnosis and treatment.
- Significantly improved waiting times, relieving anxiety for patients and families.
- Better diagnosis thanks to improved image quality, reducing the need for minor exploratory surgery.
- High quality scans will be available quickly for emergency patients both day and night.
