On Wednesday 20th August we were delighted to present a cheque for £1000 to Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation, a Scottish children’s charity providing support for children with Cancer across the UK, nominated by Moray Nutrition and Dietetic Team.
Named after Abbie, who passed away on Christmas Day 2017, aged 15, after living with Sarcoma, a rare form of Cancer, for four years and four months, they give children gifts and grants, also known as “Sparkles” assessed on an individual basis, dependent on need. They also wish to spread awareness of Sarcoma and Childhood Cancer.
Our donation will be put towards building a “Sparkle Lodge” to provide holidays for children with cancer and their families, this means that the money will have an impact on numerous families over the next 20 years.
