Location: Fully Remote
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent | Business Intelligence
About the Role
Our Business Intelligence function turns complex, imperfect data into clear, actionable insight, with a philosophy of "do once and automate." We're looking for a Senior Analyst & BI Architect to drive this effort: shaping BI strategy, owning our insight plan across the business, and building a genuine centre of excellence. You'll work in multi-disciplinary pods alongside colleagues from across the organisation, and be the trusted go-to voice for insight and understanding.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Insight
- Drive the strategy and implementation of BI, Insights and Analytics across the business, and develop the vision for a BI centre of excellence.
- Manage day-to-day workload while overseeing long-term development of our Customer Data Warehouse, source systems and predictive analytics.
- Own and deliver the insight plan across quantitative and qualitative research, unifying data into a single source of truth (Qlik or similar).
- Produce regular insight debriefs — written and verbal — and champion the voice of the customer in major business decisions.
Technical & Governance
- Manage key BI systems (Qlik, Salesforce, SAP Business One, Pardot, etc.) and recommend value-adding tools and technologies.
- Standardise analytical solutions and support all departments and projects with their insight needs.
- Ensure GDPR, ISO27001 and Freedom of Information (FOI) compliance across all data and systems.
- Act as first point of contact for BI systems and technical queries, including customer onboarding support.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or similar), or equivalent experience.
- Strong SQL/MySQL and advanced Excel (VBA) skills.
- Experience with BI/visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView or Domo.
- Proven ability to interpret complex or imperfect datasets and tell a clear, accurate story from data.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with budget/financial experience.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R.
- Data blending tools (e.g. Alteryx, SSIS) and familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack.
- Ability to build forecasting models, and apply segmentation/clustering techniques.
- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, SAP Business One and Pardot.
- Post-graduate qualification or evidence of continuing professional development.
