AYMES International presented two abstracts at the 48th ESPEN Congress on Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism, held in Berlin from 5–8 September 2026. A brief summary of the results from each is below; the full poster images can be downloaded below.
PD171 — ActaGain 2.0 Plant-Powered1
In a 7-day study of 15 adults with or at risk of disease-related malnutrition (mean age 57), a plant-based, soya isolate ONS (2.0kcal/ml) was well tolerated and well accepted. Compliance was good, averaging 86% against dietetic prescription, and 80% of participants rated the product acceptable overall. GI tolerance remained stable throughout, with no adverse or serious adverse events reported.
PD164 — ActaGain Protein Compact2
Across two prospective studies in 26 adults with complex medical conditions, a high-protein, low-volume ONS (2.6kcal/ml, 20g protein/125ml) showed consistent tolerability and strong compliance at both one and two servings daily. In the 28-day, one-serving-a-day study, mean compliance was 94%, with all participants rating taste, consistency and convenience acceptable. In the 7-day, two-servings-a-day study, mean compliance was 96%, and the majority of participants showed stable or improved GI tolerance, with no clinician concerns over tolerance or compliance.
The full abstracts will be published, each with a unique DOI, in a dedicated ESPEN supplement of Clinical Nutrition. We will share the published citations and links here as soon as they are available.
