Fortified Porridge recipe

As part of our Food-first initiative with Reach by Nightingale Hammerson, we bring you simple, step-by-step videos to make it easier for people and caregivers to prepare everyday meals that are both nutritious and appealing. Below is our Fortified Oats recipe that has been created in partnership.

 

Fortified Porridge

Ingredients

  • 40g Oats
  • 300ml Whole Milk
  • 1tbsp Skimmed Milk Powder
  • 1tsp Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Banana

    Method

    1. Mix the porridge oats with one tablespoon of skimmed milk powder. Stir. 

    2. Add whole milk, and stir for around 2.5 minutes until the porridge thickens.

    3. Transfer the porridge mix into a bowl.

    4. Add peanut butter and banana toppings. Other toppings, such as strawberries and cream, apple puree with cinnamon, or honey, can be used instead of peanut butter and banana.
