As part of our food-first initiative with Reach by Nightingale Hammerson, we bring you a series of video recipes. Below is a video recipe for making fortified milk, which can be used to provide more energy in your diet if you are struggling to eat enough or have a reduced appetite.
Ingredients
1 pint of whole milk.
4 tablespoons of skimmed milk powder.
Method
1. Add the milk powder to a jug.
2. Pour in a small amount of milk and stir to make a smooth paste.
3. Slowly add the rest of the milk, whisking as you go to remove any lumps.
4. Once it’s ready, fortified milk can be used in hot drinks, on cereal, in porridge, custard, soup, or anywhere that you’d normally use milk.
