On Monday 17th June we were proud to present a cheque for £1000 to the dietitians at Cheltenham General Hospital for theirs and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals CT Scanner Appeal.
With their existing scanner provision at full capacity they are fundraising to purchase new scanners for the almost 80,000 people each year who require a scan or mobile x-ray.
New scanners will mean:
- The earliest possible diagnosis and treatment.
- Significantly improved waiting times, relieving anxiety for patients and families.
- Better diagnosis thanks to improved image quality, reducing the need for minor exploratory surgery.
- High quality scans will be available quickly for emergency patients both day and night.
