At AYMES, we prioritise quality and affordability. Our Price Pledge ensures we offer the most cost-effective range of innovative nutritional supplements in the community, with fixed tariff prices eliminating the need for contract negotiations.

We care about cost

Oral nutritional supplements are prescribed to patients who cannot meet their nutritional needs through food alone, targeting those at high risk or already suffering from disease-related malnutrition. Malnutrition affects about 30% of adults upon hospital admission and 35% in care homes,3 leading to more frequent and longer hospital stays, increased GP visits, and higher infection rates3

In November 2015, the National Institute for Health Research Southampton Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Southampton BRC) and the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) published a report that estimated the cost of malnutrition in England was £19.6 billion in 2011-2012.4

This figure is set to increase as the population ages and the cost of health and social care rises, already almost 50% higher compared with £13 billion reported in 2007. 4

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) states that improving the treatment of malnutrition has the third highest potential to deliver cost savings to the NHS.4 This is also supported by BAPEN, reporting that the implementation of the NICE clinical guidelines for the treatment of malnutrition, in hospital and community settings, led to greater cost savings than those reported by NICE. 4

At AYMES, we’re proud that our products and story continues to help improve lives and impacts on the wider health and social care agenda, with every step we take.

We care about the community

At AYMES, we recognise the vulnerability of older adults to malnutrition. To prioritise patient well-being, we pledge 5% of our profits to support charitable causes in the UK, focusing on improving the lives of local communities and vulnerable older adults
